An element, or obstacle, is something you traverse to get from one tree platform to the next. Each adventure element is different. For example, you may walk across a rope bridge, go over teeter-totters, or fly on a zipline!
The adventure park includes 6 different adventure trails or routes, each departing from a large deck we call the Treehouse. The adventure trails are color-coded by difficulty: beginner, moderate, and difficult. Each adventure trail consists of 10-12 tree-to-tree crossings called adventure elements.
Each ticket includes an equipment briefing followed by two-hours of adventure time in the park. Pricing is as follows:
$54.95 for the Treetop Adventure Park
$65.95 for Navitat at Night
The Treetop Zipline Adventure and Navitat at Night are offered year-round. Our hours of operation change with the season and are posted on our website. While we do our best to accept walk-ins, advance ticket purchase is highly recommended as we limit availability to provide the best experience to our guests. Tickets can be purchased on our website or by calling 855-628-4828
Our hours of operation for walk-in visits depend on the weather and our reservations for that day. In order to guarantee your adventure experience, we highly recommend that you purchase tickets in advance.
You MUST reserve your Navitat at Night experience 2 hours before night time tours begin. Questions? Give us a call at 855-628-4828.
If you have a large group and qualify for our Group Discount, a reservation must be made by phone.
Navitat Knoxville allows cancellations and changes to reservations up to 24 hours prior to the tour time. Reservations cancelled more than 24 hours in advance of the tour time will be issued a refund minus the 6% credit card processing fee. You must speak with a Navitat Reservations Agent during regular business hours to cancel or reschedule. You can reach us at 855-628-4828.
For anyone using our group discounts: Groups must cancel 72 hours prior to your booking time. Reservations cancelled more than 72 hours in advance of the tour time will be issued a refund minus the 6% credit card processing fee. All groups must be paid in full 72 hours in advance of your tour time. The number of participants is locked at this time. Participants can be added based on availability, but they cannot be removed.

Participants are encouraged to stow any personal items in their vehicle or lockers before outfitting. While up on the course, you will not be allowed to carry anything in your pockets or on your person that could fall to the ground. Items carried on course must be tethered at all times. Fast-acting medications, such as an EpiPen or an asthma inhaler, are an exception. Our staff are happy to assist you with a way to secure these items to your gear.
Lockers are available at the check-in desk to safely store your car keys and other valuables while you are out on the course if needed.
Yes, cameras and cell phones are permitted, provided they have a strap and can be secured to your gear. We suggest point-and-shoot style cameras rather than ones with large lenses. GoPro video cameras can be accommodated if you bring along the helmet strap accessory (helmet sticky-mounts do not work).
Don’t have a way to secure your cell phone? Cell phone pouches can be purchased in our gift shop.
Neither Navitat nor its agents and employees are responsible for any lost or damaged items.
Navitat operates rain or shine, and guests regularly report that participating in the rain is a BLAST!
In the event of severe weather, such as lightning or sustained high winds, Navitat may choose to close or put guests on standby. Advance notice may not be possible. If your pre-booked experience is canceled due to severe weather, Navitat will offer a rain check or a full refund. Should severe weather occur while you are on the course, Navitat may discontinue your experience. Discontinued experiences are offered a full or partial refund based on the amount of time remaining on your ticket.
Yes, our park includes a series of trails that run under and alongside the adventure elements. You are welcome to watch from the ground, cheer on your friends, or take pictures from the trails.
Participants should be in good health and prepared for an active experience. Full range of motion in your arms, shoulders, neck, and back is required. During your adventure experience, you will choose your challenge level from beginner to difficult courses. Our staff can help you select courses that are appropriate to your age, skill, and comfort level.
Like other outdoor adventure sports, zip-lining, climbing, and aerial trekking expose participants to real risk and the possibility of loss or injury. A number of these risks are necessary and inherent to adventure sports activities like these. Navitat Knoxville takes steps to minimize these risks, including but not limited to using industry-specific smart-belay lanyards that keep you connected to safety lines while on the course, retaining third-party, professional inspectors to review the course annually, conducting daily pre-use checks of the course prior to opening each day, conducting ongoing staff training, and participating in industry trade associations like the Association for Challenge Course Technology (ACCT).
Participants play a significant role in ensuring their personal safety. Following instructions and guidelines (posted and verbal) and knowing your personal limits will help to ensure you have the best experience.
Guests should come dressed for the weather, wearing layers as though they are headed into the woods on a hike. Please keep in mind, the Treetop Zipline Adventure and Navitat at Night operate rain or shine!
• During periods of rain, rain jackets and pants are recommended. Loose-fitting ponchos, however, cannot be worn with our safety gear.
• We recommend bringing layers along so that you can adjust clothing accordingly once you have arrived.
• Closed-toe shoes are required. NO CROCS. Loaner sneakers are available subject to availability up to Men’s size 12. For best comfort with the harnesses, we recommend pants or long shorts.
• Please leave valuables, including jewelry, at home.
Yes, we provide all the necessary equipment. Simply come dressed and prepared for an active outdoor experience, and we will provide everything you need—harness, lanyards, zip line equipment, gloves, and helmet.
Pre-packaged snacks and beverages are available for purchase from the Ijams Visitor Center.
Food and beverage are allowed on park grounds but not on the adventure course. We encourage participants to bring water with them into the park. All food and drink should be stored while participants are on course. Food may not be consumed while participants are wearing a Navitat harness.
The simple answer is, “it depends.” Due to the nature of the activities, we strongly encourage parents to participate with minors, especially those who do not have extensive experience at height or in adventure sports.
In general, the following guidelines apply for the supervision of minors:
• Ages 7 to 9. Must be accompanied on the course by a parent or parent-appointed, adult chaperone (“Responsible Adult”). One (1) Responsible Adult may accompany-on-course a maximum of one (1) participant under the age of 10 years. Rent-a-Guides can be purchased (with advanced notice of 48 hours, pending availability) to accompany children on the course if the Responsible Adult does not wish to or cannot accompany the children.
• Ages 10 to 17. A parent or parent-appointed adult chaperone (“Responsible Adult”) must be present on-site at Ijams Nature Center and within earshot of the minors for whom they are responsible for the duration of the program. If all participants are 10 years or older, the Responsible Adult need not participate or purchase a ticket provided each minor demonstrates the ability to use the equipment and act independently at the safety briefing.
If you will be participating with a minor for whom you are not the biological parent, adopted parent, or legal, court-appointed guardian, please be advised that each minor must present a completed Aerial Adventure Park Visitor Agreement, signed by their parent or legal, court-appointed guardian before accessing the course. Parents who are not present may complete their minor’s Aerial Adventure Park Visitor Agreement online using a computer or mobile device. Links are provided with ticket purchase confirmation e-mail.
